Mumbai, Tuesday, August 22, 2017: IDFC AMC, the mutual fund arm of IDFC Ltd has returned to the screens with Return of One Idiot, the sequel of One Idiot, their popular short film on the importance of savings and investments. The film sees the return of the titular character 'Bugs Bhargav', the 'Idiot' from One Idiot.

Commenting on this initiative, Vishal Kapoor, CEO, IDFC AMC said, "The reality that the film brings out and its relevance to mutual funds as a category is rooted in a strong cultural context and makes it more than just an investment option. Return of One Idiot is part of IDFC MF's commitment to promote the culture of saving and investing in India. The idea that no matter what the future holds, your saving and investment will always be your support in old age in an empowering and liberating idea. In the Return of One Idiot, Bugs Bhargav aka 'The Idiot' unfolds this truth to the young audience."

Rishi Kakar, Director - Marketing says, "One Idiot has been a successful initiative from IDFC where we have reached over 100,000 people directly on the ground over the years, about 400,000 people have been reached online organically and over 1,00,00,000 people have been reached via TV. The film has been greatly appreciated by audiences, the distribution community and admired by our competitors in the fund business. It was therefore an easy choice to extend its equity via a sequel rather than go with new idea. The Return of One Idiot deals with a totally new thought delivered by the protagonist. You will therefore see that apart from the protagonist there is no character in the film that travels from the previous film."
